Technical Mechanic
A great deal of technology is required to produce a punnet of tomatoes; for example, we use geothermal energy, combined heat and power (CHP) units, UV sterilisers, aerial work platforms, sorting machines, and the list goes on. Technology is incredibly important in our quest to create the optimal growing environment for the plants and ensure an efficient tomato processing operation. To keep everything running smoothly, regular maintenance is required and any faults must be resolved quickly.

What will you do?
As a Technical Engineer, you’ll need to be flexible. You’ll take turns on call with your colleagues. One day it might be particularly busy with lots of different faults, whilst the next day there might be no faults at all, leaving a bit more time for maintenance and similar tasks. In short, it’s a varied job with plenty of freedom, but when it’s really needed, you’re ready to spring into action. You’ll be working in a team of two colleagues at our site in De Lier.
